Trust Yourself, Love Yourself

One of the most important skills you can ever learn is forgiveness.
So today, try forgiving yourself.
Some (poetic) thoughts about the dark, as I feel myself coming into the light again:

There Are Reasons to Stay

We all have things that keep us going.  And I think that overall, it is hope which acts as our oxygen.  I have lost myself a thousand times, but I always had hope that I would find my way back.  Just look around, and be grateful for what is here right now.  Someone told me once that depression is living in the past, and anxiety is living in the future.  I guess we all just have to try and live for now.
I've been taking this really incredible astronomy class, and I am astounded every day by just how insignificant we all are.  I think that the only impact we have at all, is the way we make other people's lives more beautiful. We do that through human connection; expression.  So always cry when you feel like it, whether it is for happiness or sadness.  Don't act like things don't matter, because they actually really do.  Don't hide: if you can express something real, it will encourage others to express their reality, and learning someone else's reality is the only way we can advance as people.

Rant over.

Pictures! Rachel and I are finally getting to enjoy the weather!  Also, I tie-dyed my hands and feet (:

I adore my new boots.

This is like the only good picture of both of us. Ever.

“Cause I don't wanna be a witness to this life,
I want to be charged and convicted,
ear lifted to her song like a bouquet of yes
because my heart is a parachute that has never opened in time
and I wanna fuck up that pattern,
leave a hole where the cold comes in and fill it every day with her sun,
'cause anyone who has ever sat in lotus for more than a few seconds
knows it takes a hell of a lot more muscle to stay than to go”

“A doctor once told me I feel too much. I said, so does god. that’s why you can see the grand canyon from the moon.”

Hey so yesterday the weather was so beautiful!  My friends (Julia and Caitlin)  and I went on  a walk.  Once again we used Julia's awesome camera.
 Aren't my friends stunning?

This one is Julia.

One Day at a Time

Took a road trip to my state forensics meet this weekend!  Performed one of my own spoken word pieces and one by Andrea Gibson.  I got a perfect score on my performance, I was so excited (:
I love it so much, and I feel like writing could really get me somewhere, I just don't know where quite yet. Anyway, here's a new post, featuring new stuff from the trip.

Cameos

I love cameos!  They are so elegant.  And, like most things, they are better when you buy them vintage.  I just love the idea of something that has a story to tell, you know?  Because something you buy used or vintage has already been loved (:
Here are some of my cameos:

My friend Rachel brought this back for me from Spain really recently!  I am dying it is so beautiful.

I also found this cameo at an antique store recently.  It was three dollars!

This woman is missing a nose, but I love her anyway.  I got this at one of my favorite vintage stores.

This one was from an art fair I went to. It is one of a kind as far as I know.

It Hurts to Become

“I said to the sun, ‘Tell me about the big bang.’ The sun said, ‘it hurts to become.” -Andrea Gibson

I love Andrea Gibson more than life.

Old News

These are some really old photos I just found.
Thrifted outfits, and the lace dress was a gift from a friend.

Snow

Hi there.  My friend Julia and I took some pictures.  Dress is from Dale's.  Earrings from Ragstock.  Vintage and DIY jewelry.  Vintage hat.
I absolutely cannot wait for the snow to melt, but winter is hanging on here. Although it allowed for this winter wonderland photo shoot! (:

Have a lovely day!
